Dental assistance for Seniors

On June 3, 2024, dental benefits under the Dental Assistance for Seniors Program (DASP) transitioned from the Alberta Dental Services Corporation to Alberta Blue Cross^®. This transition will not cause a disruption in service, as individuals enrolled in the programs will have their information automatically transferred to Alberta Blue Cross^®.

Eligible seniors can get help covering the cost of basic dental and optical services.

Optical Assistance for Seniors application form

Eligibility is determined by a senior’s total income as reported to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) in the previous tax year.

If the optical provider does not use online claim submission, please use this convenient slip to submit the original receipt to Alberta Blue Cross^® for reimbursement.
