This is the 11th year that we’ve conducted an annual reputation survey with Leger Marketing, a Canadian industry expert in polling, market research and strategy. The survey allows us to track our reputation index amongst both Albertans at large and “Corporate Alberta” – corporate decision makers of Alberta-based businesses with 100 plus employees.

The 2022 results showed that the Alberta Blue Cross® brand has an outstanding reputation, ranking first in reputation when compared to other similar organizations. We also have the highest awareness level of any benefits provider among corporate decision makers in Alberta at 99 per cent.

Among Albertans at large, our reputation index score increased significantly this year from 53 in 2021 to 58 in 2022.  The survey of Albertans at large is based on a sample size of 1,000 respondents who are residents of Alberta aged 18 years or older with results weighted according to age, gender, and region to ensure a representative sample of the population. At the same time, our reputation index score for 2022 among “Corporate Alberta” also increased significantly this year from 52 to 59. We continue to be well above our reputation index benchmarks of 50 or better for both Albertans at large and Corporate Alberta.

Among the respondents, 71 per cent consider Alberta Blue Cross® as a trusted brand, 2 in 3 Albertans have positive opinions of Alberta Blue Cross®, and 72 per cent like the Alberta Blue Cross® commitment to support the communities it serves. Our reputation index scores for 2022 are extremely strong, and the key indicators in the areas of brand, wellness and community positioning are also holding strong. Alberta Blue Cross® is deeply committed to the customers and communities we serve, and we appreciate the high level of confidence that our stakeholders place in our organization.
